Andrea Ceballos My husband and I just had dinner at Mornaca for the first time, and it was such a pleasant surprise. We learned that the restaurant changed ownership about six months ago, and the new owners are truly doing something special here. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with chips and refried beans topped with cheese. The beans instantly took me back, they have that authentic, comforting Mexican flavor, like something my abuelita would make at home. We were craving street tacos and ordered the carne asada and tripa (tripe). What really stood out was that they asked how we wanted the tripa cooked. We asked for medium well, and it was hands down the best tripa we’ve had in the area, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also ordered an agua de jamaica, which was absolutely perfect, not overly sweet. The owner even offered to add sugar, but it honestly didn’t need it. I usually never finish an agua fresca, and I finished every last sip. The owners are from Michoacán and Jalisco, so you already know the food will not disappoint. As a nice bonus, while you’re waiting for your food, they have games you can grab and play at the table. Overall, Monarca Mexican Taqueria is definitely a place worth checking out. Delicious food, thoughtful service, and a welcoming atmosphere, we’ll definitely be back.

Major Reaction First time trying Peruvian food, and I was not disappointed! I went with two friends and they gave me a heads up on what was what. This truck serves different dishes depending on the day, and some items can be limited. I got the chicken al hormo (baked chicken with rice, and a vegetable salad mix), which seemed like something that was a safe choice for a first timer. The chicken was cooked to perfection with a great flavor. The rice had a nice amount of seasoning, which complimented the chicken perfectly! It was a mix of savory and spicy. The vegetable mix was colored pinkish from the beets and was on the sweeter side. I ate most of the plate very quickly and washed it down with an Inca Kola (pineapple tasting cola). My friends let me try some of their dishes and I was happy with the plate I chose. Would definitely like to come back and try the lomo saltado. The only reason I gave the atmosphere 4 stars is because it was very hot that day, and we sat outside in their tent area to eat. The people who ran the truck were very sweet, and the cook even offered to make mine spicier next time, lol!

Lesa Fontaine My Sister and I celebrated our 63rd bday with family. Was supposed to go 15 turned out to be 26 including babies. They did an awesome job serving us. The food excellent. Everything was hot and didn’t wait long. 5 stars

Dartise Jones I’ll keep this simple, this place is good vibes, good music, and solid food. This place has everything you would want in a club/bar. Definitely a Hayward staple. R&B, hip hop, and rap is the primary music being played which I love and they spice it up with reggaeton and reggae

Kevin Drost This place is food truck located in the parking lot of the world liquor store. There is a sign on the corner. These guys came into my wife’s work at Buffalo Wild Wings and since then I said I had to try it. I have to say I was impressed. It’s very comparable to Dave’s hot chicken however, I think their chicken was more juicer and their french fries are very well seasoned and they give you a whole lot of them. I got their Medium level spice and it was just the right amount of heat. You have to put the honey on it with some extra sauce, it hits good with that combo. Plus the sauce is a good french fry dipper. Definitely want to try a spicier level next time the heat didn’t take away the flavor and I love that

Mackenzie Draper Myself and the CSU East Bay Womens Volleyball team had a fantastic experience with the Sourdough & Co. staff! We had a large order of 21 sandwiches with a very specific pick up time, and Reminder was so wonderful in accommodating this request! It was absolutely the fuel our team needed to compete a few short hours later. The food was delicious, and pick up was easy (even accommodating an early arrival from me!) and the store was clean and kept - we will absolutely be ordering from this establishment again in the near future! :)

Chereylle Aromin Weve been coming here for years. They serve breakfast all day. Their ribs are my favorite; ask for center cut for juicier and tender meat. There are plenty of selections for sides and pies for dessert. I definitely recommend this place for ribs. All the staff are friendly, too!

Rick Pierce This is a hidden gem of an Indian restaurant. A little bit out-of-the-way, but worth your trip. Prices are reasonable, portions are good, all dishes I’ve tried are excellent and authentic to Indian cuisine. I highly recommend the tandoori and chicken tikka masala, of course, reference to photos. The garlic naan bread is also excellent. This place is managed well and clean also.
