M S Pretty good place for sushi if you dont mind a large crowd. I used to love it here, but I think as more people started coming to the restaurant, the quality has gone down. Maybe the chefs are rushed? I honestly dont know. Dont get me wrong, its definitely my second favorite place in Augusta for sushi. I just remember a few years back when the sushi and the service were upscale. Now the people are still upscale, but the food and service have declined a bit. Maybe the sushi isnt the focus anymore? I havent really tried any of the "fusion" dishes, so that could be my mistake. Ill give it a while before I try it again.

2.CAVA

Bruce Bruce Stopped by this new establishment after playing some pickleball. In all our family got seven plates and we tried everything from chicken to steak to falafel, all come on a bed of rice, veggies or both. Then you get to put whatever toppings on the main “protein.” Meat was seasoned well and everything was very good. Seating is indoor tables, benches and chairs. Laid back music playing. They also have a bunch of different lemonades and juices like Pineapple Apple Mint, things you don’t get from a regular chain. Although the line was long and what seemed never ending while we were there the staff stayed positive and kept the motivation going. The line moves quick due to them, kudos to the young staff! It’s a nice change from your average chain, and is the new hot place from what it seems during our visit. Will try this again, you can make up your own dish also if you don’t like their “set” specialties. Again kudos to the staff, don’t change.

K Bell I forgot her name, but whoever the goddess is thats manning the register....THANK YOU! You are amazing, a people person, and this business is lucky to have you. Why arent you on commercials for it? Everything you told my coworker and I to try was delicious. Now every review here that says they have small wings, theyre a little small, but who wants those steroid induced mammoth wings? Not me? I like my wings hormone free and tasty. The lemon pepper almost made me slap my friend, but that sweet and spicy brought me back to reality. The fries were fried perfectly, and I know Ill be back to try other food. Great service is everything, and because of the hostess, well be back for much more.

Shannon McFarland Recommend…We ate here months ago and the food was very good. We had the schnitzel with an over abundance of potatoes. The cucumber salad was not quite as tasty as it could have been, tasted more watery but still good. If you love German food try this place

5.Ironwood Tavern

Address: 5117 Washington Rd Ste 1, Evans, GA 30809

Chuck Sabo We recently dined at Ironwood Tavern for the first time and our group of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It was only a few days prior to Christmas and the restaurant was quite busy. Their pizza selection includes some unique combinations that you wont find elsewhere. And my shrimp n grits included at least 10 good size breaded shrimp plus some of their fried green beans, so it was a little different than your typical shrimp n grits. We took home 1 serving of their gingerbread bread pudding and it more than satisfied all 4 of us. We look forward to our next visit.

emma dempsey This is my absolute favorite restaurant! The service here is incredible. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. I probably go to salsas 3 or even 4 times a week because of the amazing service. The food is just as incredible too. The best Mexican food I’ve ever had. I can’t recommend this place enough!! Definitely come and try it out!

7.Chicken Fingers

Address: 4108 Evans to Locks Rd, Evans, GA 30809

(647) user ratings total:

Aaron Hands down the best chicken fingers in the area…possibly the entire country. Part of the success is the peanut oil, there’s no substitute for that rich and nutty flavor. And don’t get me started on the ranch dressing. The Buffalo Chicken wrap is also super delicious. Best of all, they are locally owned with outstanding customer service! 10/10 would recommend to anyone who loves a good chicken finger.

Brien Sewart This is a nice small Japanese habachi restaurant with an awesome sushi selection. The prices are great and the staff is very friendly. I never had to ask for a refill on my drink and our waitress always came by to see If we needed anything. I recommend to come in for lunch. They are not as busy and they have cheaper prices. I hope you enjoy like we did!

9.Diablos Southwest Grill

Address: 610 Mullins Colony Dr, Evans, GA 30809

Quintin Sherrod Tried diablos a little while ago and got hooked. The burritos are good and I like how my order comes with chips. The line moves decently quick, but the workers don’t seem to motivated to be at work and it kinds kills the mood if I come in all high spirited. Besides this small caveat, great place.

Southern Longhorn Was working on a start-up nearby and I like trying new foods. This was very tasty and flavorful and the girl helped me order things. The shrimp Goan Street Vindaloo was good but a little “thin”, rice was perfect, the Mango Lassi drink was amazing, and the Gulab Jamun desert was super sweet. I enjoyed it and will come back to try more things. By the way, the hottest/Indian spicy wasn’t very bad.

12.Hokkaido Restaurant

Address: 4460 Washington Rd #20, Evans, GA 30809

Mike Adkins My wife and I found Hokkaido here on Maps. She likes sushi, Im more of a hibachi guy. My wifes sushi was very good, according to my wife, who I wouldnt dream of disagreeing with. I had the Steak hibachi and I can tell you that it was definitely very good. I asked for medium rare on the steak and it was perfectly cooked. The sauce was very tasty, but didnt overwhelm the bites of steak. The same sauce was on the veggies they were delicious. The fried rice wasnt crowded with additional veggies, making the flavor of the fried rice come through. In short, my meal was excellent. For both meals, portions were generous. I was able to have my leftovers for dinner. Our server was great. He was attentive without being annoying. That in itself is a rare thing Prices werent cheap, but for the quality, flavors, and portion size, well worth the price. Atmosphere was perplexing. Not bad, just unusual. The decor is authentic. The music wasnt too loud, but Ive never heard hip hop in a Japanese restaurant. Im not complaining about it, I just found it odd. Im not a fan of TVs in restaurants. They had a daytime talk show on. The guest that Dat was the original Honey Boo Boo. Eehhh. Over all, its definitely on our "go back" list. If you havent tried Hokkaido, you are late.
