Helen Miller We came in for a cruise and after a 10 hour drive we were looking for a close more "mom and pop" type restaurant near our hotel. Not only was it about a block away the service was great and food was delicious. They recommended if we wanted to avoid leftovers to share a burger and fries. Which we did along with Homemade French Onion soup (highly recommend). Cannot express how great the service and attitude of our waitress was and will definitely recommend to follow cruiser.

Alexandria Martinez Locally owned, locally ran. Very mom & pop diner feel- small restaurant team is extremely attentive and hardworking. You can tell they really care about your dining experience! Plentiful gluten free bakery options (6 pc assorted pastry box is $18). Really especially enjoyed the fresh Sourdough bread!

Joseph Hoffman Really delicious and fresh. Spice level wasnt quite what Id hoped for Thai Hot, but it was still very good. The Chiang Mai Noodles with Crab was divine and had a very generous portion. Be sure to close out your meal with fried bananas and honey lavender ice cream.

arthur bonneval Every dinner or lunch I have had at this restaurant has delicious. The portions are large, attractively served and the service is excellent.

Cassi Tran Cute neighborhood spot for brunch or lunch. The boudin egg rolls were interesting with the cream cheese and pepper jelly (more sweet than spicy). Gumbo was dark and smoky with plenty of meats! The highlight for me was the club sandwich which is MASSSIVE. Piled high and not shy, it was enough to share for two people. I upgraded to the pimento mac and cheese, which were ok but nothing of point. I recommend sticking to the fries for the crunch with the club. My partner got the bleu shroom burger and it was just the right amount of funk and saltiness. Ill definitely come back for my own burger!

Tabi Crandle Got invited by a friend and definitely wanted to check it out since it is the location of the iconic Brown Bomber from the 90s! Visited on Tuesday night for comedy and tacos. Those chicken tacos were amazing !!!! Check them out

Ryan Nguyen My family and I would always order togo from here and the food would always hit the spot! So my mom and I decided to dine in on a random Sunday since we rarely do that at Nine Roses. Funny enough, we would order the same thing we would usually order for home: “Mì Wonton Đò Biến” aka Egg Noodles with Wontons & Seafood ($12 not including tax) & “Bánh Hỏi Thịt Nướng” aka Pressed Vermicelli Squares with Chargrilled Pork ($15 not including tax). The food is always made fresh and never lacks flavor. The inside decorum is simple yet neat and clean. As for service, they are fast paced but always friendly to us. Overall, an OG Viet place in Gretna to try out if you have the chance!

Tiaira Williams Sahara Café absolutely blew me away! Everything from the food to the service was spot on. I ordered the halloumi, fresh tzatziki, and beef kabob, and each bite was bursting with flavor. The pita bread came out warm and soft, and that garlic sauce—oh my goodness—was addictive. The service made the experience even better. Bashir took amazing care of me, and my food came out in seven minutes flat. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does. To top it all off, the mint tea was absolutely incredible—fresh, fragrant, and the perfect way to end the meal. If you’re craving authentic Mediterranean food made with love and served with heart, Sahara Café is the place to go. I’m already planning my next visit!
