Sandra Questad First time here, with a group of 7. Great service, nice presentation with each dish and delicious food. We sampled appetizers, entrees and desserts. Very good yellow fin tuna stir fry, perfectly cooked filets, gnocchi meal was flavorful and good, duck entree well prepared and tender and chicken piccata was excellent. Loved the Brie appetizer as well. Recommend an evening here!

Meighan Arnold I stopped by the Whataburger in Gonzales and was excited to check out the new location. The staff was friendly and the burgers came out hot and made-to-order. The fresh taste lived up to what I expect from Whataburger, and the updated layout seems promising.

Silvia Kolle Don’t let the name of this great gem fool you. This place is great! Down home made from scratch food. - Delicious! We ordered cheese burger and fries and bacon cheese burger and onion rings with a side of ranch. I was skeptical when my food came and was served with a mayo and mustard packet. The burger bun was soft and warm, the burger was juicy with great flavor. I did prefer the bacon cheese burger but bother were yummy. The patty was homemade and thick. The fries, onion rings and ranch were all home made. The onion rings were fantastic! I’m looking forward to to coming back to try chicken fried steak and steak fingers. (Con: Check out is a counter to the side so the staff doesn’t always see that someone is waiting.)

Teresa White-Heximer Its decor is NOT fancy, but the buffet was great. A good variety, excellent sides and condiments, fresh and tasty. Fresh, handmade tortillas on request. The price is unbelievable. Weekends only. Though its a buffet, the staff was very attentive.

Lisa Morris The Buffalo Chicken was delicious. The Cinnamon Bread Twist was fabulous. The Parmesan Bread Bites were amazing. Customer Service was wonderful very helpful and friendly.

Brianna Gomez The food was beyond delicious—every bite was full of rich, authentic flavor that made it clear a lot of care goes into every dish. On top of that, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. Absolutely phenomenal experience ! Bella Tavola is a true gem—I can’t wait to come back!

Kelley McBride I love this place! The wife and I took the Texas Independence Trail on our way to the coast and this was our first stop for lunch. Super friendly service, a true Texas bbq joint with a cozy atmosphere. Lots of rustic wood and rusted metal interior and photos on the walls. Best brisket sandwich Ive had in a long time! My wife got 3 sides and they were all home made quality. This is definitely our #1 spot in town and we will be back every time we go to the coast!

Meighan Arnold Acapulco Restaurant has become one of our reliable go-to spots in Gonzales, and it all started somewhat unexpectedly. When we were first exploring the area, we were disappointed by a neighboring establishment, Mr. Taco, but that letdown led us to discover Acapulco—and we’re glad it did. We initially tried their breakfast tacos and were impressed. The menu offers a solid selection, the food is well-prepared, and the service has consistently been friendly and efficient. Everything feels fresh and thoughtfully made. Since then, Acapulco has become a routine stop for us. Their street tacos, in particular, are excellent and have become our primary go-to order. Flavorful, satisfying, and consistent, they’re exactly what you hope for in a local Mexican spot. Overall, Acapulco Restaurant delivers good food, quality service, and consistency—making it a place we’re always happy to return to when we’re in Gonzales.

Crystal Tan Hubby and I were so glad to have dined here. He ordered a steak and Inordered the fried gizzards and the boudin. The Gizzards were yummy. The batter was flavorful (not just salty) and the gizzards tasted fresh (not old, like it had been in the fridge for long), thus, it’s not rubbery and didn’t hurt my jaw (and teeth). Perfectly done. I didn’t like the boudin though. It is not as flavorful as I expected (having had boudin in numerous places in Texas). The place and ambiance is great. A very relaxing and enjoyable place to dine. The place has a bar which was just too high (as the seats appear to be short in height). Overall, we love the restaurant and definitely recommend it. We will definitely be coming back.

Lauren S Absolutely delicious bbq! I ordered the three meat plate and my partner got the 2 meat plate. Ribs, brisket, turkey, and sausage all fantastic. For sides, we had the mac n cheese, the green beans, and cheesy potatoes, and we finished with the banana pudding. All wonderful! We have had alot of barbecue and stopped here after seeing it on Texas Monthly as part of a road trip. You will not be disappointed!

Lory Lozano Delicious medium large sized hand made corn tortillas to go with our pound of barbacoa. Shared with 4 people it was plenty. The tias approved.
