Emily Kearns Absolutely amazing! We are visiting Waco from Lexington,NC and wanted to go to an Italian restaurant for our wedding anniversary. From not knowing much and just reading the menu we were excited! Little did we know the experience there was going to be amazing! The staff is so quick and helpful! The food was outstanding! My husband had the tenderloin and he said it was the most tender one he has ever had! I had the Gnocchi Sorletina and added shrimp completely amazing! Several times during and when we left Massimo came by and checked on us and thanked us for coming! If this place wasn’t 18 hrs away for us we would be regulars!

Kelly Mcdaniels The food and drinks were excellent! Try the margaritas on the rocks and the Bloody Marys! The pork chops, the charro beans, and the refried beans were delicious!! Our server was fantastic! I also posted a $5.99 all you can eat pancake special! Check it out! A definitely revisit!!! Not crowded at all when we went!

Theresa E Coming from a state with well over 400 breweries and a lot of winter snow (hey....theres not much to do in the winter if you dont ski, so breweries come in handy), we know a good one when we see one. Our first visit to Southern Roots provided us with a tasty standard American Stout called Goat Cave. Odd name unless it was named after the Goat Cave Karst Preserve in Austin and produced using the water from the Barton Springs Edwards Aquifer. But I digress. We enjoyed the Stout and the bartenders were very helpful and a delight to meet. Thank you to everyone at Southern Roots Brewing Company for a satisfying experience.

GiGi’s List While in Waco, I visited Magnolia table for breakfast. Sidenote here. We made a reservation ahead of time and thank goodness that we did because there was quite the line of people waiting. When we came in people looked at us like good luck, we went up to the hostess, gave them our name and were immediately seated. The waitress came right over, provided us with water and then took our coffee order. While we perused the menu. We placed our order and the food was brought out quick and it was hot. I believe I ordered the farmers breakfast and my daughter ordered pancakes with bacon. The pancakes were huge. The portions were large, definitely more than we could eat. My daughter did point out that it was so quiet in the restaurant, even though it was full. She noticed that there was no music. When the weight staff would come to clean off a table, they were very quiet about it, and there was no clanging of dishes, which was very nice. When we finished we paid our bill and then went to check out their little store on the other side of the restaurant. I would go back.

PerriLaine33 So delicious and high quality! All of the food tasted phenomenal. Reminded me of authentic New Mexican style food. None of the food was too oily or greasy and appeared/tasted fresh. Service was really on top of it and quick, even offered to go drinks which was a nice touch. 10/10 recommend trying this place in Waco.

Erika Smith Addie T was our server and couldn’t be more delightful! Made excellent recommendations and everything was delicious! We enjoyed the Downtown Waco sushi as an app. Off menu filet and ribeye were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The bartender suggested a local whiskey that my husband really liked and a red wine that went great with my steak. I was able to add the burrata to my filet and it was also very good. No complaints. Quiet and well appointed dining area in historic building with charming touches. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice dining experience. Walking distance from Hilton.

Cathleen Smith I can not say enough about this place. My honey and I have been once so far. We will be back however we live so far away. The gentleman that served us was very personable and had some amazing suggestions. The fried Brussel sprouts were absolutely amazing and very plentiful. I had the buttered chicken, I think thats what its called, very delicious. My honey had a riblett style pasta dish. He is still talking about. We however did not explore the adult beverages due to the drive home. Must be responsible.. If ever in the area u must stop in even if its just for a refresher and appetizer size bite. U will not regret it... I promise

Amelia Smith I came around 5:30 PM and have been here a couple of times. The food is great for the price — very cheap, especially the 4 quarters for $5.49. The only downside is the wait time; there was only one employee, so I waited about 10–15 minutes since there was a line. Even with the line, the worker greeted me with a lot of excitement, which was really nice to see. They also did a great job remembering and completing my order. Overall, good value and tasty food!

Cora Van Winkle The food was too good that I didn’t get any photos. The salt and pepper on the table weren’t and didn’t need to be touched. I am only ever traveling through Waco for medical stuff so the joy of well cooked veggies in particular was appreciated. I just wish my mom was with me because she would’ve liked it even more than me.

Vegas OnBlast This is a casual dining place ..the food was good!!! I do wish they had home brewed sweet tea, but the fried shrimp was pretty good and the fried okra was GREAT!!!

Ken & Heather Smith The pizza and macaroni bites were delicious. The atmosphere is nice, especially the outdoor patio that overlooks the lake and park. Very relaxing. They do have a bar but its cut off from the rest of the restaurant so you dont have to worry about shenanigans.
