1.The Rat Tap

John Womack We were happy to see the Rat Tap open again after so many years. We walked up from the marina to check it out. Very nice inside and the service was great. We had the individual 8" pizzas. Very good. A lot of history in photographs on the wall, including the set when they filmed the bar scene for Men Of Honor. We talked to one of the owners, Stephani, who showed us folders of old pics. She said she and Curtis bought and reopened the bar. There is a small public dock accessible by boat. It has a nice ramp to the deck behind the bar.

Sandra Yglesias We are out camping and decided on a pizza night. Stopped at JJs and were impressed with the huge selection on their menu. Everyone wanted something different, so we all ordered a personal pizza and one order of bread sticks. They took our order right away, and it didnt take long until they were ready. All the pizzas were as advertised, heaped with toppings and delicious. They gave us a bunch of extras and napkins. I highly recommend stopping in. Im sure their burgers, grinders, and other offerings are this delicious. They have limited seating.

Dawn ONeil Bravo Salt & Tomato …it’s been a long time coming and it’s clear that you’ve put a great deal of thought into what to offer and how to present it.. in this small community you cannot be everything to everybody and there is always going to be plenty of chatter. As for me, my husband and I loved our experience . It was a dazzling, late afternoon on a Sunday so the river sparkled and the stylish, contemporary space was roomy and casually glamorous.. And… it is right here in our charming marina in rural SW WA.. for now, we are still a hidden gem. We knew the food was served family style and even that has a special appeal .. Sharing food is refreshing ! The focaccia was golden and crisp outside and fluffy inside..7 decent sized yummy meatballs with red sauce made a perfect starter and the handmade kale pasta with a light lemony sauce and wild mushrooms was perfectly cooked, the bright crunch of microgreens on top was delightful . I would’ve liked a little more lemon but that’s just my preference..maybe some preserved lemon would elevate it a touch. Homemade honey gelato and tiramisu were glorious. I had a glass of red wine and it was a generous pour so even though it is a brewery you still have options. The staff is friendly and the service attentive without being pretentious. I want these guys to be successful in the food venture and they are worth traveling for, so turn into Cathlamet and make your way to the marina when you’re heading to the coast or back east toward I-5 ..You’ll remember it fondly and help our small local economy too.

The Flannel Camper We were out for a family drive from Hazel Dell and decided to stop in and try this place out, what an amazing restaurant. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff and seated. The place has a great feel inside, tons of ambiance. The wife and daughter split the "special of the day" rice bowl dish (too many items in it to list), we also got a side of smoked macaroni and cheese. My son had a cheese burger while I had the Rodeo burger. They came with homemade fries. Everything was perfect, the burgers were cooked perfectly. The macaroni was delicious and creamy, the cooked to order fries were very good. While we waited for our food, we loaded up the jukebox and played a round of pool. This place is totally awesome and worth the short drive from the city.

Cristina Robinson We had breakfast at The Cottage Bread and Breakfast twice during our vacation in Cathlamet, and everything was amazing! The staff was so friendly, the service was great, and the food was incredible! On our first visit, we had the gluten-free Eggs Benedict and it was so yummy! We were also thrilled to find gluten-free options since both my husband and I are gluten free. Our kiddos loved their pancakes! We can’t wait to come back next time we’re in town!
