Broski Ross First time here, saw them on YouTube and wanted to check it out. Small place inside as they have the tables outside but only limited seats available, wish they had more tables and chairs. I tried their ranchera meat tacos and one queso taco and it really hit the spot. Had to throw in some hibiscus dip onions on top. Overall very delicious and will come back to try more.

Hiramatsu Yoshiko (Yoshi) Fantastic food and what an amazing service! We enjoyed their meat balls, hamachi crudo and the signature Lamb tzatziki pizza, not to mention a whole lot of other delicious dishes on offer. Do not miss their famous fantastic Caesar salad with the perfect dressing, with the right amount of anchovies, flavoursome croutons and loads of fluffy Parmesan shaving to top it all off. Their homemade pistachio Tiramisu and strawberry sorbet was irresistible even after a BIG meal. Highly recommend!

Cheryce Three coworkers and I ate dinner tonight at Ikigai for the first time. We got there right at 5pm and its obviously a popular place as tables were already filling up. The service was excellent and the food absolutely delicious! Our favorites were the tempura, edamame, and the sushi. Oh, and dont forget to leave room for dessert, some lemony olive cake. Well definitely be back!

Emma Matsuda Heard about this place from a friend so decided to check it out. First of all, the bread pudding was immaculate. Definitely gained at least a pound, but it was 100% worth it. The potato and cheese pierogi were to die for - not too heavy or starchy, doused in a beautiful brown butter sauce with sage. The trout rillette tartine did not blow me away, but the incredible cocktails made up for it. Overall I will be returning as soon as humanly possible!

Elsa Rodriguez Ordered online, excellent service! All the flavors are there and I really appreciate the freshness of all your veggies. Garlic aioli was a bit too salty, but not enough to change my review. Long time favorite spot!

7.Mother Wolf

Address: 1545 Wilcox Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90028

(845) user ratings total:

A I wanted to personally leave a review after visiting Mother Wolf several times now. I’d like to start by offering special thanks to managers Adolfo and Alex, who treated us like family after we decided to give Mother Wolf a second chance. Their hospitality did not go unnoticed, and a special thank you as well to Cheyenne, who was an absolute blessing during our visit. The entire staff this time around was exceptional, and it genuinely felt like everyone cared about the experience. Some of the best food I’ve ever had has come from Mother Wolf, and this visit absolutely reinforced that. We were able to try a variety of menu items, including a few dishes on the house, all of which were outstanding. Standouts included the Rigatoni alla Vaccinara, a rich and deeply flavorful oxtail pasta, the Spaghetti all’Arrabbiata, perfectly balanced with heat and depth, the Polpette di Coda, and the Fiori di Zucca, which were light, crisp, and delicious. To top it all off, dessert was just as memorable. We enjoyed the cheesecake with mango, along with a refreshing fruit sorbet (possibly peach) and creamy Italian gelato, which were the perfect way to end the meal. We frequent both the Los Angeles and Las Vegas locations, but this one is closest to home, so whenever we’re lucky enough to snag a reservation, we always make the most of it. Do not hesitate to come here — all of the pasta and pizza is made fresh daily, and being able to view the kitchen and watch these dishes prepared in house only adds to the experience. We will definitely be back.

Justin Alexander Absolutely loved this place. The food was on point across the board, portions were generous without being ridiculous, and the chicken chili really warmed this winter soldiers heart. Service was friendly, fast, and somehow perfectly timed, which feels rarer than it should be! Will be back!

Emily A Such a lovely neighborhood restaurant! We were traveling through with our very large dog and picked this spot walkable from the W Hotel—so glad we did! Every dish we got was excellent and really tasted homemade. They also had a ton of healthy vegetable dishes. Everyone who worked there was so kind as well. Highly highly recommend if you’re looking for a restaurant in the area that’s not a tourist trap!

Richard Davalos Have never had a bad time here. Drinks are good, great beer selection on tap and in a bottle. Pizza slices are large. Sports on all the TVs. Gets rowdy for major events. Literally an ideal sports bar. Outdoor seating if you want, a small front patio seating area. Fans that feel good on a hot day. Absolutely a regular spot for locals.

12.La Nena Cantina

Address: 6115 Sunset Blvd Suite 100, Los Angeles, CA 90028

(73) user ratings total:

Paul Mark Morris If you’re looking for a standout Mexican dining experience in the heart of Hollywood, you can’t go wrong with La Nena Cantina on Sunset Boulevard. The atmosphere hits just the right balance between lively and approachable — the space sits in the Columbia Square complex (6115 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028) so you’re right in the mix of the entertainment district while still feeling like you’ve found a place worth lingering in. The décor leans modern with a warm, natural-material touch: terracotta tiles, soft lighting, natural fiber accents and an artful mural set the tone for food and drinks that match the vibe. What really makes La Nena Cantina special is the way they take classic Mexican flavors seriously but present them in a modern, elevated way. Their handmade tortillas show up everywhere and you’ll find richly crafted dishes like a mole poblano made with 40+ ingredients and slowly simmered from scratch, or a mole negro from Oaxaca with a smoky depth — these are flavors you don’t often find in a high-style cantina. Tacos dominate the menu in the best way: think slow-cooked pork belly, ceviche selections, a Baja fish taco on blue-corn handmade tortilla with chipotle mayo, crisp cabbage and fresh pico de gallo. There are vegan options too, executed with real care rather than just check-boxes. The bar is no after-thought either. Full of mezcal and tequila choices, with cocktails like the “Adelita” featuring pineapple, cucumber and fresh lime that pair beautifully with the spicy or rich plates. Whether you’re going in for an early-evening drink, weekend brunch or full dinner, it works. For starters the tableside guacamole made fresh is a smart move, and sharing the five-taco tasting is a fun way to explore. The service and energy reflect the neighbourhood well — polished but relaxed, with a patina of Hollywood glamour that doesn’t feel stuffy. In short if you’re in Los Angeles and want a spot that brings both authenticity and design, La Nena Cantina checks the boxes.
