Arman Hussain I can see why people love the Texas chilli omelette and French toast. They were of superb quality and flavour. This restaurant has a very homely feel and has been around since the 80s. A true gem to the city of Pasadena. The staff here are very friendly and attentive

Brenton Hughes Man. I hate when people say things like “the best I ever had”, because it 97% of the time isn’t true. Maybe my expectations were low because were just waking up and trying to survive, but my wife and I ordered the verde chili breakfast burrito and were pleasantly surprised at how gd delicious it was. The potatoes were created in Gods image, the pork was moi, and for once in my life I did not care about cheese-to-burrito ratio (as much). This is considered a win in my eyes. Im glad we came. I would post photos but the burrito is gone gone.

Melanie Ortega The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, with perfectly dimmed lighting that creates a cozy, inviting vibe. The service was personable, attentive, and made us feel truly taken care of. The food is farm-to-fork, featuring incredibly fresh produce and high-quality meats. Portions are generous, and everything was served hot and perfectly prepared. I enjoyed the bruschetta, braised beef ravioli, and the pear salad with almonds—each dish was so flavorful and thoughtfully made. To top it all off, the coconut cake was phenomenal—hands down one of the most delicious desserts I’ve had. I also had wine with my meal, and I loved the thoughtful touch of serving it in Brighton glassware. An amazing dining experience from start to finish.

ar bee Bone Kettle: A Flavor-Packed Gem in Pasadena From the moment we stepped into Bone Kettle, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance, sleek, modern, and warm with attentive staff who make you feel like a regular even on your first visit. But let’s talk about the food. The star of the show? Their legendary broth slow-simmered for 36 hours, rich, silky, and layered with flavor. Every spoonful feels like a masterclass in depth and technique. Every dish is beautifully plated and thoughtfully prepared, showcasing Southeast Asian flavors with a refined twist. The appetizers are equally impressive, and the craft cocktails hold their own alongside the bold cuisine. Prices are fair for the quality, and portions are satisfying without overwhelming. You can tell the team here takes real pride in their work. Bone Kettle isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience. Highly recommend for date nights, foodies, or anyone who wants to taste something extraordinary in the heart of Pasadena.

Tony Simotes Traveling and just found this AMAZING restaurant in Pasadena, CA. OMG, go hungry and be prepared for a wonderful dining experience! From the moment we entered the restaurant the smells from the kitchen announced that the food here is special. Everything and I mean everything that our large group ordered was DELICIOUS. From soup to dessert (potatoe leak soup to an unbelievable peach cobbler with ice cream) everything was better than we could have imagined. If I lived here, Id call Foothill Restaurant my new favorite place!

Czarina Louie What a great experience from our taste buds to the amazing staff. It was our first time visiting and found the restaurant from Open Table. Our server China was friendly, on point on her service and genuinely was a great server that attributed to our amazing experience. From the Salad, to the Chili and the Grilled Cheese, it was mouth watering and Brisket heaven. They had a great game on the TVs and great music playing. Our only "complaint" was that we wish the music was louder because it was a great playlist.

Severo Lopez Ambiance and service are on top tier level. Service was above and beyond and the experience was great. Everyone that shows up is either a return customer or a neighboring colleague. For only being there for a couple of hours I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that’s a traveler or local. We had wings and pizza. The best for a late night drink and wind down.

9.Deluxe 1717

Address: 1717 E Washington Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91104

E C Deluxe 1717 is our restaurant of choice anytime my I and/or my husband are in the area (we live 70 miles away, or else we’d be there all the time)! We even went there for brunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary after attending service in the church where we got married in LA – sure, there are tons of great LA options we could have gone with, but there is something extra special about Deluxe. The food is beyond excellent, with a varied and creative menu. The wine list is unique and offers great pairing options. The service is always friendly and attentive. All this, in a charming ambiance. Well worth the trip every time! I’ve mostly been there for brunch, savoring dishes like smoked salmon arepa benedict, roasted cauliflower and leek quiche, mushroom quiche, seasonal waffles, Bolivian empanada, Cuban sandwich, burrata, tuna carpaccio, and my favorite, olive oil poached wild mushrooms with forbidden rice. Their quiche of the day comes with locally sourced greens that melt in your mouth. Their dinner menu is also fabulous, such as the Deluxe nachos, grilled hanger steak carne asada, Peruvian grilled chicken, Cuban bowl, miso carbonara. Favorite desserts include their Thai tea crème brulé and strawberry rhubarb galette. Drinks I or friends/family have enjoyed: rosé by the glass, exotic fruit mimosas, hibiscus (with or without champagne!), and reds like Miroballi Pinot Noir, La Bastide Cote Du Rhone and Brick Mason Red Blend. Aside from brunch and dinner, they frequently do special events ranging from “Thursty” Thursdays with fun appetizers, multi-course dinners with pairings, themed menus and drink, and holiday parties. The space is classy and cozy, with comfy indoor seating and walls filled with a fun blend of artwork, as well as a cute patio. The location is convenient to access while also not congested. Above all, Deluxe is run by wonderful people. Onil, the owner, is one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet, with infectiously positive energy. He is an absolute delight to be around! The staff are all so lovely and warm, in addition to providing top-notch meals, service and wine pairing suggestions that are on point! They also care for their community. Notably, in the aftermath of the Eaton Fire earlier this year, Deluxe hosted free neighborhood meals for their community and first responders, collected donations to help affected home and business owners, supported fundraising efforts, and more.

Allison S. My mom and I had such a wonderful experience at Mercado! The food was absolutely incredible — the fish tacos and steak tacos were both so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Our waitress, Kyle, was amazing — warm, attentive, and so friendly. We even got to meet Glenn, the owner, who was just as kind and welcoming. Everyone there made us feel so comfortable — it was truly a breath of fresh air. We can’t wait to come back! Just a few pics, I wish I took more!!

Christine McCormick Such a great menu! We ordered ceviche, crab cakes, mussels, fish tacos, the seafood soup, and their fat French fries are the bomb! Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. The beer choices are really nice, with cider options, and, even sake. We wish we tried the miso black cod, it looked good. Next time for sure since we will be back! The staff was terrific and accommodating to our big group, coming in at the last minute without a reservation! I liked the Japanese vibe. You can also sit outside in the nsck courtyard. I recommend this spot.

Dawn Miller The best Persian food Ive had. The chef truly knows how to use the spices! Every thing was superb. The menu also has American and Italian choices. The drinks were so good and spot on in balance and flavor. The entertainment was a surprise and so beautiful. Not in your face or inappropriate but lively, fun and graceful. The music was perfect and dancing was on the dance floor and many danced at their tables, old and young alike! Hookah is available as well. We went in for a quick early dinner and drink...ended up staying for 6 hours! Did not want to leave. Service was good but felt forgotten a couple times...quickly remedied. Prices accommodate ALL budgets. This is our new #1 go to restaurant and we will be bringing family and friends as well. Parking structure is right across the street. Just go, you deserve a lovely evening.
