Mike Martin The only place that has a burger like old Sno-white in Madera. Our kids love the dubai chocolate milkshake. Good old fashioned burger joint food, beats all the fast food burgers in town. They have pretty good salads too.

Joshua Smith This was my first time visiting this location and they were very busy. Almost every table was full. Regardless of them being so busy the waittresses were extremely attentive and polite. I could see their staff constantly multi-tasking. I worked in food service for a long time and know how difficult it is to keep the place spotless during busy times and this place was kept very clean throughout. I could see the cooks in the kitchen constantly working and never losing their focus. The food came oit piping hot and fresh. It tasted great. It was also a large enough portion that I am going to turn this into at least three meals. Great job Sals. I will definitely revisit.

Ramirez Dante (Billy Yank 1916) I’ve been going to downtown buffet since 2010 and it’s giving me the opportunity to talk about both of the pros and cons about this restaurant. Starting off with all the good things to say, the service here is pretty good. The waiter/waitress is very attentive, and is more than willing to refill your drinks, and take away any dirty dishes that you may have after eating some food over there. Another thing to mention to is that the food, though relatively limited, is always fresh seeing that it’s being swapped out so, on the weekends, especially, you can expect the food to be fresh because of the amount of food that people take. The atmosphere is also pleasing for the most part. Even though it’s starting to show its age after being around for nearly 2 decades, it’s a small, cozy atmosphere, and it stays relatively cool as well which is an added benefit during the hot summer days in Madera. With all this being said however, the system to say that the buffet is perfect as it does have certain flaws that you will want to take into consideration before going. I want to start off by mentioning the price which has gone up dramatically ever since Covid. On weekdays, a table for one is going to set you back almost $20 though it is excusable since you’re able to eat all you can, not to mention the free refills. However, the price tends to go up quite a bit, especially during holidays and weekends, which means foods going to be a lot more expensive. For example, by the time I’m making this review, I had recently went there with, my little brother and we paid almost $50 just for the two of us so I strongly advise anyone that plans on going there to try and at least go during the weekends. It’s also important for me to mention that it is so much cheaper when you go during lunch hours, specifically around 11:49 PM, which is usually the time the buffet opens. The only other downside of that I could really mention is the quality of the food. I did mention earlier that the food is always fresh, but it’s not exactly the best there is. In short, downtown buffet has the added benefits of fresh food, decent customer service, and a pleasant atmosphere. However, one must take into consideration, the price and even the quality of the food. Nevertheless, if you’re someone who lives in Madera, or is stopping by and so happen to run into the buffet and doesn’t want to drive all the way to Fresno to Golden Harbor, downtown, but that isn’t all that bad.

Alma Barocio Great food, new clean restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, what more can I say? We came for a late dinner on a Thursday, not a busy night so we got our food pretty quickly and dined in. Everything was hot, fresh, and tasty. Im not sure where other reviewers said that the food was greasy or under seasoned. The only greasy item we received was the pot stickers which we dabbed down with a napkin but otherwise they were good. Meat and dumpling plates were tender and juicy, my stir fried green beans were crisp and crunchy. The chow main noodles had excellent flavor and the pork fried rice was chefs kiss. My husbands fried won tons according to him were some of the best he has had in the valley. With the exception of the pot stickers I have no complaints. The servings were very generous and we literally had leftovers for another meal or two. Their prices are also very competitive with other similar restaurants and the food is as good as the places I used to eat at in and around the bay area. 10/10 will eat here again.

Joe Camacho I very much enjoyed this restaurant. I had the Texas Platter with a house salad and chili beans. The only thing "Texas" about this platter was the size of the meal. It is served on a cafateria size tray and I was unable to finish the meal. The un-Texas (California special) Tri-Tip was very good. However, I could have done without the bbq sauce on the Tri-Tip. The shrimp were large, and the sausage was very well flavored. The half chicken was a little dry but very well seasoned and was great. The highlight of the meal was the chili beans. By far, the BEST beans I have had in a while. They made the platter!

Brooke Taylor Today I had the most wonderful experience at the RH restaurant, and I can’t stop thinking about it. From the moment I walked in, I was completely captivated by the atmosphere — it’s not just a restaurant, it’s a masterpiece of design and ambiance. The architecture is absolutely stunning: high ceilings, elegant lighting, and a perfect balance of modern luxury and timeless sophistication. What amazed me most is the concept itself — a place that seamlessly blends a high-end furniture gallery with a fine dining restaurant. Everywhere you look, there’s beauty and intention: from the arrangement of the tables and the soft glow of the chandeliers to the way each piece of furniture tells its own story. You can literally dine surrounded by art. And the food — it was exceptional. Every dish felt like a small work of art, both visually and in taste. I tried the truffle fries, which were so fragrant and perfectly crispy, and every bite was pure indulgence. The flavors were refined, elegant, and full of creativity. You can really feel that every detail, from the ingredients to the presentation, is chosen with care and passion. The restaurant also has this incredible view that makes the whole experience even more magical. Sitting there, enjoying delicious food under the soft light, surrounded by beautifully arranged palm trees and elegant décor, felt almost surreal. It’s one of those places where you just want to slow down, take it all in, and enjoy the moment. Overall, RH isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a celebration of beauty, taste, and atmosphere. It’s a place that awakens your senses and leaves you inspired. I can’t wait to go back.
