Edward Hernandez Very lively but not sold out on Saturday night. Food came out very fast and was very good and they accommodated some requests for the food to be adjusted slightly. $12 glasses of good wine is actually a bargain in that neighborhood.

Anjera C Love this place. I can never go wrong the the RTR bowl with chimichurri sauce. Great value for a meal in the city. Depending on the day I might split up the bowl in two meals. We also got the seasonal squash which is our favorite. It’s sweet savory and really well done. My partner got the salad which was also great. They also have a green apple seasonal sorbet right now that is phenomenal! Its not overly sweet and has a nice tartness to it. Overall can’t go wrong with the food here!

H D “Juanito” This is another one of those hole in the wall joints that will always make you come back for more. The place is nothing to look at, but it is clean, and God the dumplings and the beef brisket noodle soup were unbelievable. It is THE definition of northern Chinese comfort food. The amount of beef brisket in that dark decadent and rich soup was more than you can imagine. Probably the only thing that I have had in the SF area that actually meets the money value. If you couldnt get enough of it and too full to eat more, take the frozen ones home on the way out. Dont order the funky dumplings like Beef and Carrots, stick with the old school Pork and Cabbage, maybe Chives, you cant go wrong there. There is no alcohol here, the only down side!

James Wang Affordable and delicious Korean food with fast service, great taste, and good portions. Their Korean seafood pancake was really tasty, and their dolsot bibimbap had fresh ingredients. They provide fresh kimchi as part of their banchan and offer free refills. The dining space inside is rather tight with ~10 tables, but they also have a few 2-person outdoor dining tables. There is a paper waitlist on the back of the door.

Joshua Yuan They have a large outdoor patio in the back. Food didnt take a long time. It was really good. The soft shell crab was good but decently spicy. Overall this was a really solid Korean restaurant I could for sure come back.

Andrew Wolpa Had a fantastic meal here. Lumpia were honed in, bright and tasty with the seasonal fruit and apricot katsup. I like the way they refined the presentation from my previous visit a couple years prior by assembling each with its accoutrements. The skewers had the perfect amount of flavor from being grilled over charcoal: lightly smokey but still balanced with the flavors of the marinade and the picked toppings. The chicken liver mousse was such a dreamy luxury; the mini pandesal that it came with were so impossibly light and airy, warm, and soft. The squid with the homemade noodle tasted fresh and perfectly cooked and the cashew sauce was super savoury. The crispy pata had a refined texture that came from a careful, thoughtful cooking: soft moist meat beneath super crispy skin. The seasonal fruits in the halo halo were a nice way of elevating something I’m used to being one dimensional and sweet into something balanced and full of flavors. We tried four cocktails and they were all exciting and balanced. The service was super friendly and warm from everyone who touched our table. I also really like the atmosphere here: it’s quite comfortable I feel really relaxed eating here. Everything we ordered I look forward to ordering again and would wholeheartedly recommend. We of course went a bit overboard with ordering because we were excited but you could easily order half as much and still leave with a full belly and exciting experience. While you shouldn’t go in expecting it to taste like Filipino home cooking, you will definitely taste the Filipino roots with great quality seasonal ingredients that add oomph and fine dining level execution. P.S. I’ve eaten here for breakfast a few times there breakfast is also super highly recommended

Katia Martha Super busy when we went and on the pricier side but you get what you pay and wait for here. I went here with some friends for brunch and everything everyone got was delicious. I got the omelette that came with a side salad and toasted sourdough. I liked having the variety of some protein, some greens, and some bread. There’s indoor and outdoor seating- all beautiful! The line was somewhat long when we got there but moved fairly quickly. I would come back and recommend to friends!

8.New Eritrea Restaurant

Address: 907 Irving St, San Francisco, CA 94122

Asif Khan I loved the food. This was my first time trying Eritrean food which is not surprising since the county is only two years older than I am. The food is very similar to Ethiopian food which is to be expected but I definitely detected nuances in the flavor profile that were distinct. However, I dont think I could verifiably state those differences. I was expecting a more spartan atmosphere but the design inside the restaurant was modern. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was praiseworthy. The price isnt too bad for being steps away from Golden Gate Park.

Jeff Ho 11/15/2025: No line for brunch on a Saturday. Out of the row of bar stools at the counter, two were dirty. One had a used napkin on it and the other had an old newspaper. I sat down on a clean one and order a mushroom cheeseburger $13.50 and a side of sunny side eggs $5.25. Food arrived quickly. When I assembled and ate the burger, all this grease started spilling out. While it tasted good, that cant be healthy. Service was fine. Brunch 4/25/2021. Tennessee Grill has a truck stop feel to it. Both the indoor and outdoor decor can use a renovation. Today, I got the Mandalay Slam (bacon, ham, sausage link, patty two eggs.) Service was fast and the food came out quick. The waitress was attentive on the coffee refills. The food was not bad. The hash browns came out slightly crispy but was still too mushy for me in the middle. It lacked that buttery taste. The English muffins came pre-buttered, which was nice. Overall, this was not a bad meal. Thanks Tennessee Grill!

Chandra Prasad Great place to get a breakfast or brunch and walk around the presidio. We had the first appointments and it was great to see the staff lined up to open the restaurant and escort each group to their table. The menu is fresh and is changed often. The Turkish and Mediterranean inspired cuisine was fabulous and the views are great! We enjoyed our time there and will be back again.
