Claire Quilaton The moment I walked in, I was pleasantly greeted by Tay! He was very kind and gave me suggestions for their soft opening menu. The oxtail gravy and the texture of rice & beans were great! My dad got their fried chicken and plantains and you can smell the spices in the batter once you open the box. The Mac and cheese has a nice cook on the noodles with a good tangy taste. I will be coming back to try their curry chicken and stewed chicken. The cabbage wasn’t that bee cooked or undercooked. One of the chefs came out and greeted me with a smile with my food! She was very sweet:) Enjoy this new business opening up in the neighborhood :)

He displayed such exceptional customer care I had to do a review. Hadn’t eaten what we got yet but I’m sure it’ll be good and regardless, I will come back just to experience the customer service. Armando Palomino-McClure Yesterday was National Cheeseburger Day. My roomate and I had been craving a burger and we had both heard, go to the Flying Cow for a good burger, so we checked it out. We got 2 different burgers and shared them. They did not disappoint. The burgers were great! The portions were just right. We are definitely come back.

Brody Carrasco Food was great and reminded me of home. Owner let me try the crawfish etouffee before ordering it and I had to get a bowl! Catfish was flaky and the etoufee was savory but sweet kick from the crawfish

I tried their suya, catfish peppersoup, and suya shawarma, and honestly, each dish was a 10/10. The suya was tender and well-spiced, delivering that authentic Nigerian flavor. The catfish peppersoup was warm, comforting, and had just the right amount of heat. And the suya shawarma? A creative twist that totally works — spicy, juicy, and incredibly tasty. Highly recommend Empress Café if you’re looking for delicious, light meals packed with flavor. I’ll definitely be back!

Lacy Springs I decided to reach out of my comfort zone and try some authentic African cuisine and let me tell you I was not disappointed at all my taste buds were very happy and pleased. I started with the two plates of turkey wings that were so huge they were like longer than my face full of meat tasted like jerk seasoning all over and in between, I paired it with the rice and peas which were so so good. I never tried those before but Im definitely going to get it next time I come back. I also got the fries that were perfectly fried and seasoned.The menu inside was very easy to understand and read the staff was very friendly and helping. The environment was chill and laid back so if you want to come and get you some food and relax and even get you a hookah they provide that too. They have tvs for sports games, they also have family games as in Uno connect 4 pretty much all the originals. So stop on by and try it out its in the strip center next to McDonalds and Starbucks.

Kendra Williams Portillo’s in Richmond is a gem for comfort food lovers! We ordered a little bit of everything to get the full experience, and it did not disappoint. The burgers were juicy with just the right amount of char on the patty, layered with fresh toppings and a soft, toasted bun that held up beautifully. The fries were golden, crispy on the outside yet fluffy inside—the perfect sidekick. We also tried one of their signature hot dogs, and it was spot-on: a snap with every bite, topped with all the classic fixings in true Chicago style. And then, the star of the meal—their famous chocolate cake. Moist, rich, and decadently frosted, it’s the kind of dessert you’ll still be thinking about days later. The atmosphere is casual but lively, and the staff made us feel right at home. Every plate that came out looked just as good as ours, which tells me consistency is a big deal here. We’re already planning our next visit—this is going to be a regular stop for us!

lesley Galloway We love to go here for a relaxing coffee or tea. Lovely patio area that’s shaded and has beautiful plants. Play area for kids and generally a very family friendly little place. Perfect to bring lap top to work a bit and super friendly atmosphere. I loved the iced golden chamomile tea drink!

Delia Perez Great food and service! 1st time visiting and I know we will be back soon! I ordered La Careta plate and everything was perfect and delicious. Chips and salsa are good and salsa is not too spicy. Both Flauta and taco were crisp to perfection!
