Matthew Hughes When the Anchor Bar started expanding its locations, I was thrilled to discover Austin (Round Rock) would get a store. They are the OG of wings. Decades since starting in Buffalo, Anchors Bar continues to serve high quality wings with tasty sauce just like they were made decades ago. Seriously, their quality control must be very strict. I have never had undercooked wings here and the sauce always seems to be the right amount (not drowning in it). These days, wings are prolific, featured in almost every bar, and restaurant. There are tons of sauce variations. Wings come in many different sizes from embarrassingly small to jumbo. If you want the "Goldilocks Wings" (those that are just right), get yourself over to the Anchor Bar!

Rachel Barnard The place was busy and loud when we arrived around 2PM on a Sunday. We were able to find a table still but it took a while to order as some of the other tables were taking over 5 minutes to place their orders. Food came relatively quickly after we were able to order and was hot and fresh (~15-20 minutes). We got chicken saag (medium) and butter masala lamb (mild) with an avocado milkshake and some plain naan. The meats were cooked perfect and very delicious. Both sauces were amazing. The butt masala might be the best Ive ever had. The medium spicy was not too spicy (more like 2.5/3 stars out of 5). They serve the water in bottles. Its been a long time since I found an avocado shake that tasted like avocado and not sugar/ice. Well definitely be back to try more dishes (they have so much variety!)

Likitha S Bangalore Tiffin Room instantly transported me back to Bengaluru the moment I walked in. Every dish we tried was packed with the kind of authentic flavors you can only find in a true Bengaluru household or local tiffin joint. The spices, the textures, the aroma - everything tasted like home. A special shoutout to Jaya, who was incredibly warm and welcoming. Her kindness and hospitality truly elevated the entire experience and made us feel like cherished guests rather than customers. And I have to mention the kaapi bar - easily one of my favorite parts of the visit. Their filter coffee was rich, bold, and perfectly brewed… the kind of kaapi that makes you close your eyes and savor every sip. It perfectly captured that comforting, nostalgic taste Bengaluru is known for. If you love South Indian food or have a special place in your heart for Bengaluru cuisine, Bangalore Tiffin Room is an absolute must-visit. It’s delicious, heartfelt, and beautifully authentic - a little slice of home far from home.

Aiyubur Rahman Tried out AustIndia in North Austin today for a little lunch/brunch and honestly, I was impressed. It’s a bar/restaurant setup with a really nice interior, clean vibe, and plenty of parking (always a plus in Austin). We didn’t go too heavy on food since it was lunch, but ordered the kebab platter, a kulcha, and a naan. The kulcha was outstanding—soft, flavorful, and just perfect. The kebab platter was the highlight: sizzling hot when it came out, beautifully presented with grilled onions, peppers, and cabbage. The mix included fish, goat kebabs, and two types of chicken kebabs—juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Honestly, one of the better kebab platters I’ve had in Austin. Since I was driving, I stuck to their virgin drinks. Ordered a shikanji (basically a spicy, tangy lemonade) and a Punjabi mule mocktail. The shikanji was my favorite—refreshing, sour, and with just the right kick. The Punjabi mule was nice too, a little on the sweeter side, but still enjoyable. Service was excellent. The staff were polite, professional, and attentive without being overbearing. Water refills came without asking, and everything we needed was taken care of. A really kind touch: I accidentally left my cap inside, and the server literally walked all the way to the end of the parking lot to return it. That kind of gesture really leaves an impression. Another cool thing—they have a modern ordering system where you just scan, order, and even open a tab from your phone. Super convenient. Now, the prices are a bit on the higher side for what we ordered. Not outrageous, but definitely leaning toward the premium bracket. That said, the quality, presentation, and overall experience make it feel worth it. Overall, AustIndia is a great spot if you’re craving flavorful Indian food with a nice ambiance and solid service. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Passionfruit The best in terms of taste, quality, health, variety and pricing. I have been to Mediterranean countries and eaten there and this food served here is great. Everything is tasty. It is kid friendly too. Great variety of healthy and tasty salads. Love the different varieties of rice, could cous, veg and chicken soup, lamb shank, meatballs, fish, chicken, cauliflower, okra, potatoes, roasted bell peppers, fresh baked pita bread, pizza, etc. The list goes on. They also have an ice cream station, baklava, rice pudding, a jam biscuit, a semolina dessert, cut fruits. I love this place. Best for Mediterranean in Austin.

Sharon Roell What a little gem of a place! Had brunch with some girlfriends and the food was incredible and the service friendly (albeit a bit slow but waitress said they were understaffed). The little old converted house had plenty of character with lovely unique ceramics decorating the place and you were served on pretty pieces as well. The liege waffles were to die for (crispy, not so too sweet) and the bottomless coffee very good as well. Will return for a savory brunch soon! As a bonus, take a little stroll down the park trail to the neighboring little waterfall.

Jose Nava Wow! This dish was delish! Im talking about Jalea. If you are in the mood for some fried seafood this is it. They serve you a mound full! I could not finish it by myself. It came with a sauce I forgot the name which was creamy. The server also recommended two other sauces which were fabulouuuus! One was for the yucca the other for the seafood. The dish has calamari, fish, octopus, oysters and I believe also scallops. All battered and fried. The red onions goes really good with the battered yumminess! Had the chicha morada to drink which has cinnamon and cloves! Great experience, delish food. Waiter was very attentive

Rena Rilloraza What a pretty restaurant. The tables and chairs are so unique. The service was prompt and very welcoming. Everything is made in house and the bread is so fluffy and soft. I wish it was wrapped in a cloth to keep it from cooling before our entrees arrived but it was perfect for dipping. We definitely ordered way too much but so worth it. The mixed grill plate with lamb tikka and kofta was delicious. I loved that they served it with a grilled onion and tomato. We also got the tomato kofta tagine. Sooo much flavor and the dish it was served in was beautiful. Just enough broth to dip plenty of pita bread in. I did wish they told us in advance how much longer it takes to prepare but worth the wait. I think if we weren’t sharing it would’ve inconvenienced whomever selected the tagine as their entree. The presentation was stunning for everything we got and even though we had leftovers we just had to get a wrap to go because why not! We will be back for sure the tabbouleh, lentil soup and flatbreads are next on the list!

Miggs Salazar Stopped in for brunch on our way back home from a weekend trip and was pleasantly surprised by how tasty everything was!! We started with the barbacoa stackers which were absolutely delicious!! My favorite thing I tried there! We also had barbaco enchiladas which were really a tostada but still pretty good just nit what I had in mind. Ended with the avocado toast which was really good too but unfortunately we were to full to completely enjoy it. Mimosas were good, a little on the light side but overall it was a very pleasant experience. Would definitely visit again.

Malice General (Malice Media LLC.) I want to start off by saying that this restaurant being so close to me for over a year is a shame that I forgot about this area to eat. Last time I was in this location it was a buffalo wings& more. So it was a pleasant surprise when my wife told me it turned into a Brazilian restaurant. We get to the location and there was plenty of parking. We walked up and got a seat right away. We started off with their sampler appetizer. This had 18 pieces of different cheeses and chicken combintons very delicious! We got a 12-in pizza this year as one of the three entrees we got. We did half four cheese and half chicken. This was very delicious and came out crispy as we asked. I did favor the cheese side a little more than the chicken but they were both good. Then we got the premium steak appetizer to split. I cant remember what it is called as I write this up but it was smothered and it was delicious. For the third entree we got their chicken pasta dish but by this point I was so full. I actually did not try any of it hence why I dont remember the name. My wife said though it was delicious when I did ask her about it Overall, this place was pretty good and I would have to say that as four people eating and being a hundred bucks, thats a good price point for the amount of food we got. If youre in the area, check it out and stop by and get some food
