Stephanie Lau That was one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. It was seasoned so beautifully. The Mac and cheese and corn bread were also top-notch! I’m definitely coming back soon.

James Great service, delicious food, and awesome cocktails. The location is conveniently close to the freeway and had plenty of street parking too. We made a reservation so there wasnt a wait. It wasnt too busy on a Sunday afternoon even if you dont have a reservation. Definitely coming back here again so we can try all the different cocktails and meals.

Chie B. Went to watch a comedy show. The show was nice, not all comedians were funny tho. But regardless, we had some laughs. The place has a nice ambiance. Clean kitchen, clean bathroom. Its quaint and it is good for date night, girls out, family get together. We had oxtail, salad and ribs. They were all good and tasty and flavorful. Unfortunately, the cocktails werent as good. Would definitely go back for the ambiance and food though.

Sung Woo Kim Wonderful dinner. Had to wait about 30min on Friday night(no res) which wasn’t too bad. I had a small cut on my thumb and needed a bandaid, and hostess kindly gave me one. Our waitress Gabi was extremely attentive and kind. We asked whether to go for ribeye or pork chop. She said both are good, but many people come for their pork chop. We got burrata crostini to start with, pork chop, and casarecce. They were all great. Burrata crostini was delightful. Pork chop was juicy and flavorful. I ordered bread to eat all the sauce, which was gooood. Casarecce exceeded our expectations as well. Look at the plates that we cleaned up! Will def come back in the future. Oh, the icecreams were really good too, a pleasant surprise. “Payday” icecream especially was amazing. *Special thanks to Gabi again! You were amazing. Thank you for taking care of us!

Erin T Great food and beer, but the staff are exceptional! The vegan option with the mushrooms is excellent. Meat eaters and vegetarians alike will love this spot. Portions are huge! They also have wine if beer isnt your drink if choice. Will definitely be back!

6.Kitchen Story Oakland

Jillian Parlee Phenomenal brunch flavors are worth the wait (and sore bum)! Kitchen Story is an epic brunch spot. If youre planning a weekend visit, I definitely recommend making a reservation, or be prepared for a bit of a wait. I met a friend here for Sunday brunch, and we ordered an assortment of plates and beverages to share. Everything was delicious and repeatable, but heres my order of personal preference for the food: Korean FC Wings: Crispy, flavorful, and absolutely standout. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes: Perfectly fluffy, and bright flavors on perfectly prepared pancakes. Goji Bowl: A solid, satisfying savory option. For beverages, the Ube Latte and the Millionaires Bloody Mary were the stars of the show. Their house coffee and unsweetened passion fruit iced tea were good, but fairly standard. My only suggestion for management would be to invest in more comfortable seating, but honestly, it was worth the sore bum to enjoy all those delicious flavors! I will definitely be returning and recommending to friends.

7.To The Moon

Carly God, I love this place so much. It’s the best Korean food I’ve tried so far in Oakland. From the condiments to the food, it has never disappointed me. I’ve gotten seafood pancake before, soft tofu soup, and spicy beef soup. I’ve come here about 5 times already and I love taking people who are visiting me here. I did try the bibimbap before and it wasn’t my fav but the rest of the stuff I’ve gotten here has seriously been so yummy, tasteful and comforting. Amazing food, generous portions, cute music and a simple restaurant ambience. I love it and will keep coming back!! ☺️

Massimo Costetti Every dish managed to be both surprising and deeply comforting. The apple–leek–pork belly soup was layered and elegant, and the truffle tagliolini with egg yolk was just amazing: rich, creamy, and intensely flavorful without ever feeling heavy. Sitting at the chef’s counter was fun and impressive to watch the precision and care behind each plate. Service was attentive throughout. Looking forward to coming back and seeing where the next menu goes.

9.Oken

Jacqueline Cerniglia Dion This place exceeded already high expectations. I walked away with at least three dishes I will dream about. As soon as you walk up and into OKEN you can smell a smokey flavorful smell that feels part of the experience. We came with four people and ordered a good amount but I wish we could have ordered more to get bites of everything - no dish fell short. My top picks were the mushrooms (snack), short rib entree, and Romano beans. Our server was super attentive and helpful in advising on our order and at the end of the night we got a surprise glass of a Lambrusco type wine for being on a parents night out - got the scoop on the toys around the place coming from an employees 5 year old son to protect it from break ins. Loved this place hope to be back again.

10.Parche

Jen Deal Beautifully decorated with local Columbian history and traditions on display in a modern, upscale way. Staff is as amazing as the number of times they use the word. Food is craveable and leaves you planning a return visit halfway through the meal. I appreciate when chefs can add a twist to traditional meals without losing the core foundation of it, the essence of the experience and the flavors. So well done, Chef!

11.Bombera

Sam What a meal! Ive heard so many great things about Bombera. On a whim and with no reservation, we stopped by to see if we could grab a seat, and Im so glad we did. The vibes were amazing; the music was just loud enough to be festive but quiet enough to still talk. There is plenty of seating options, from the covered patio to the bar and dining room. I ordered only a few things because I wasnt too hungry, but everything was amazing! My favorite dishes were surprisingly the vegetarian ones—I loved the spicy carrots. The staff was incredibly generous and actually gifted us the beets and the mint tea. The beets were delicious, and the tea was the perfect pairing for the chocolate dessert. The duck was also a highlight. Service was amazing and the staff could not be any nicer. I cannot wait to return. Highly recommend

Anne This is one of my favorite Vietnamese places in Oakland- food is delicious, service is excellent, and interior is nice. Would be good for a cute little date night. My favorite appetizer to get is the Banh Khot. Absolutely yummy! It’s crispy and has just the right amount of coconut and flavor. I’ve been here multiple times and it’s something I always order. I don’t think i’ve had anything bad from this place. Their drinks are really good as well. It’s a bit on the pricey side for Viet food, but it’s well worth for the taste and quality. Parking is on the street and I typically don’t have an issue finding something nearby.
