Gabriella Herrera My family and I stopped at Spice Garden on our drive down I-5, and we’re so glad we did. The location is super convenient right off the highway, and from the moment we sat down we felt genuinely cared for. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive—we had multiple servers throughout the night and were never left waiting. We loved everything we ordered: pakoras (a standout!), chicken biryani, lamb bati, butter chicken, papadam and garlic naan. We also appreciated the endless masala chai refills. The chutney and plum sauce were exceptional, and to top it all off, I had their house-made pistachio ice cream, which was incredibly creamy and delicious. I was shocked to hear they’ve only been open for about five months—they truly have it figured out. We’ll absolutely be back and will be recommending this spot to everyone passing through Redding!

Joie Tellez It was very busy tonight. We were seated immediately, our server was spot on with her timing. We ordered the house lasagna and the prime rib dip. Both were amazing and delicious! The price for everything was under $50. We were offered dessert but were full half way through our meal. I should have gotten the carrot cake to go. Oh, well, next time! No rush, no fuss. We enjoyed our dinner tonight. Thank you for a great evening and awesome service!

Dan Opalach This is one of the best places to get breakfast in Redding. Love the food, love the service. My wife and I have been coming here for almost ten years! I usually get the California omelette (see picture) and it’s always delicious. Also, here’s a loud shout out to Maria and Debbie who do an exceptional job waiting tables. They’re the best!

Levi Felton We showed up because we were hungry for burgers, but we were blown away by the quality and quantity of what we received! Everything was delicious and plentiful! Definitely my new favorite for American fare. The garlic fries? Come on! Amazing stuff, people. Our leftovers will be another meal that I cant hardly wait to get into. We ordered a Drunken Burger with garlic fries, a French Dip with a salad, a Chicken Philly with onion rings, a burger (that had onion in the name) with fries, and an appetizer of Fried Jalepenos. Like I said, everything was delicious.

Jimmy I have no complaints, not one. This is definitely up and up. Like my wife said its like Thai food. Went down to Mexico and came back fat and happy and pregnant. This food is delicious and is a must try. The service was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing. The food was godlike to be straight up. Honest I could not find no faults outside of the parking was a little bit difficult but well worth it.

Melanie Schichtel The perfect breakfast stop for our road trip!! My father and I are traveling up to Washington and were looking for a little mom and pop spot for a hearty breakfast, and this place really delivered! We got the eggs with bacon, and eggs with sausage links, and both were large portions, more than we could finish. The eggs were cooked perfectly, biscuits were large and buttery, and the bacon was thick cut and perfectly cooked. They even have gluten free options (white bread, cornbread, and pancake) every day, but I didnt ask until after our meal was over, so I didnt try any of it. All of the servers were very attentive, whether it was their own section to serve or not, the food came out quick, got, and just to order. All in all, definitely a great place to stop, and worth a repeat meal!

11.Anthonys Mediterranean Bar & Grill

Address: 1701 California St #B, Redding, CA 96001

William Evanusich So I stopped in here looking for something different. A Lebanese man said the food was as good as his home country, so I decided to give it a try. I had the lamb Gyro. It was okay, but it did not really taste like lamb, but my server Jodie recommended the lamb meat in the Gyro vs. the Kabab. They even gave me a nice amount of their hummus to try with 5 wedges of flatbread. That was very good. This restaurant had the flavor of the Greek side of the Mediterranean vs. the Lebanese though. The place was almost empty, and the Baklava I had was also very good. My 16 year old did not care for the Baklava, so that was odd considering he likes honey.

12.Mosaic Restaurant

Address: 826 Sundial Bridge Drive, Redding, CA 96001

Edgar Patino I had an incredible dinner at Mosaic and can confidently say this place deserves all five stars. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding, warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The staff made us feel welcome and taken care of throughout the entire evening. The appetizers were a standout on their own. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly crispy and flavorful, the Red Curry Tomato Soup was so good that I ended up ordering it twice, and the shishito peppers were fresh, vibrant, and packed with just the right amount of heat. Every starter set the tone for an amazing meal. For the main courses, I ordered the Shrimp Pappardelle and the BGP pizza, and both dishes blew me away. The pasta was rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor, and the pizza was surprisingly fantastic. As a New Yorker, I have high standards for pizza, and this one absolutely held its own with great crust, balanced toppings, and bold flavors. We also tried a variety of cocktails, each one unique, beautifully presented, and delicious. It is clear the bar program puts real care into crafting creative and high quality drinks. The menu offered a wide range of options, and every plate that came out, from our table and around the room, looked amazing. You can tell this restaurant values quality ingredients and meticulous preparation. Overall, Mosaic delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish. Great food, great drinks, great people. I will absolutely be returning and recommending it to anyone looking for an elevated and memorable meal.
