Sonia Olmos From the moment we walked in, the owner, Sam, made us feel so welcome. He took great care of us and turned our visit into a culinary experience. He explained the dishes, answered our questions, and even brought us an appetizer (sev puri) that was absolutely amazing. We tried the butter chicken, chicken curry, naan, and the aloo tikki chaat. Everything was incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and made with great quality ingredients. The naan was honestly some of the best bread I’ve ever had. I left feeling not only full, but excited that we stepped out of our comfort zone and discovered something delicious. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend Masala Express if you’re looking to try something new or crave authentic, flavorful Indian food.

Michael Hermosillo About a month ago I stopped here by chance because the party I was with suggested it. Upon entering I was immediately impressed by the vibe and atmosphere. Its not a club, but its a step up from a bar. The food is great; its not a traditional Mexican cuisine menu, because its more along the lines of "street vendor" or "food truck" selections. The michelada shrimp blew me away the very first time I ate it. However, the main reason you should attend this spot is because of the customer service. On my very first visit I met a bartender named Denise. I instantly felt like a priority while sitting at the bar. She was attentive and kind, and the joy she portrayed while working didnt seem forced our generic. She truly loves and enjoys doing what she does. Ive been visiting this location every weekend since my first visit. Many times Denise is the only bartender behind the counter and this place gets packed sometimes; never once did I notice Denise miss a customer or cause a complaint. She stands on business and commands the room while shes at the helm, a true "go getter." She always wears a smile and makes you feel appreciated. If youre ever in the mood for spicey lime flavored shrimp and an ice cold beer; you need to come try this place. You will not be disappointed.

N. M. Update** I came back about a year and a half later and it was a great experience. They seated us right away and asked us if wed like to eat inside or outside. We picked outside and they sat us next to this cute little waterfall. The waitress was very kind and the food was amazing. I got the country benedict and my sister got the biscuits and gravy combo. We both loved our food and it was filling. Overall wonderful experience and I would love to come back sometime.

Drish A great diner experience. Good food and fantastic hospitality from the owner, Scott. The NY strip steak was perfectly cooked (we had one medium-rare and one medium-well), and the service was attentive.

Charles Schlinger I went to the bar are to watch football. The service was exceptional. She kept us filled up and continued to look after us. I got the fish taco and shrimp taco. The food was fresh and delicious! The bar area was clean and the furniture looked new. My only complaint was that the Lions lost. That wasnt the restaurants fault!

Jay Wu Located in the quaint downtown of Merced, the little oven is dishing out the only New York style pizza in a 60 mile radius. Personally drove from Fresno to try it because somebody mentioned it on social media and I’m glad we did. It is quite good. Pizza is super thin. The undercarriage is cooked great and there’s no flop at all.

Pachee Thao The waffles here are amazing! I had the all-American platter with scramble eggs, bacon, and 1/2 size waffles topped with whipped cream and strawberries. It was delicious. I didnt need syrup at all for the waffles. My kids said the waffles with strawberries and cream tasted like a funnel cake. This place is our 1st breakfast pick.
