Sara Govero Wow. Just wow. Hestia is where wood fired dreams come to life. Everything is cooked over an open flame, and the Michelin Star is fully deserved. A very elevated experience. You can taste the art in every bite. Wr started with 2 bites, the corn and husk and the crab toast. They were so cute. One bite. We then got the crudo and I loved the smokiness of this dish. The halibut was even better. It came with a pour of this green tasty sauce. Bring me 2 mesquite cakes! That wood fire process is making babies back there. Excellent!

Sarah Haight This place is cool. Almost too cool. You walk in and for a moment wonder if you belong. But then the staff is beyond friendly. Everyone is so warm and welcoming and attentive. The food is incredible. Every bite unique and thoughtful. Excellent wine menu, ask the server about them…ours knew the flavor profiles off the top of her head. We felt so well taken care of and perfectly satisfied. Can’t wait to go back and try everything else. Parking is tough!

Col Raimond This was one of the best meals I’ve had in my life. We did the tasting menu option where your server chooses what you eat (after you share what you like, don’t like, price point). Our server was Brandi and tbh, she could make a ton of money with a consulting gig teaching folks how to provide excellent service. Uchiko clearly has an amazing chef and a really impressive focus on full-team service. Anyone who brings you a dish explains it to you and that is awesome. We loved all of our food. My fav was this trumpet mushroom bite that was possibly the best thing I’ve eaten in my life. I said what I said. Importantly, I wouldn’t have noticed it if Brandi hadn’t mentioned it when she took us through the menu. If you’re looking for a once in a lifetime experience and a true food journey, check this place out. I’ve eaten at a few Michelin star places here and abroad and I can tell you this is that level of quality. The fish, the meat, the care and clear understanding of (and joy for) food comes through impeccably. The focus on service and experience is seamless and perfect. 1,0000/10.

Rebecca C Outstanding Experience Every Time! I visited Eddie V’s Prime Seafood several times over the weekend, and the service was absolutely impeccable every single time. The staff were attentive, friendly, and professional — truly top-notch. The live music created such a warm, upscale atmosphere, and the wine selection was fantastic. Every visit felt special, and the bartender deserves a shout-out — excellent drinks, great sense of humor, and just the right personal touch that makes you want to stay all night. Eddie V’s never disappoints — consistently amazing food, music, and vibes. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Jobie Alcaraz For my 45th birthday dinner, my husband and I wanted to break away from our usual steak routine and indulge in some exceptional seafood, so we chose Truluck’s Austin—and it exceeded every expectation. We began with jumbo fresh stone crab claws, beautifully chilled and bursting with sweet, delicate flavor, paired alongside crispy, perfectly panko-crusted oysters that offered the ideal balance of crunch and tenderness. My husband warmed up with a velvety lobster bisque, rich and flavorful with just the right touch of creaminess. For my main course, I chose the miso-glazed sea bass, which arrived perfectly cooked with a glossy, caramelized glaze that imparted a subtle umami depth and melt-in-your-mouth texture. My husband went with the broiled salmon, which was tender, flaky, and seasoned just right. To elevate the meal, we added the truffle king crab butter—a decadently creamy, aromatic sauce that infused every bite with luxurious flavor. The highlight of the evening was the surprise complimentary baked Alaska—a stunning dessert with layers of warm cake, cold ice cream, and toasted meringue that was both theatrical and delicious. My husband’s chocolate malt cake, part of his course menu, was a perfect finish—rich, indulgent, and comforting. For drinks, he enjoyed a vibrant, fruity sangria while I sipped on a refreshing zero-proof berry patch cocktail, bursting with fresh berry flavors and a crisp finish—perfect complements to our meal. The elegant ambiance, attentive service, and thoughtfully crafted dishes combined to create an unforgettable birthday celebration. If you’re craving fresh, sophisticated seafood with a touch of luxury, Truluck’s Austin is a must-try .

John Hill Jeffrey’s has set the standard for food and service excellence in Austin for years. Sunday is half price wine night (any bottle!) so we make quarterly overpriced trips from San Antonio to enjoy date night. Our most recent date put us with our server Jacob in the bar. We love to people watch! Jacob made our night with his menu and wine knowledge, as well as his most excellent service attitude.
