Madeline Silver I ordered a chili cheese dog and they put mustard and onions on it??? No indication that this should be the case on the menu or the online ingredients list. Also messed up 2/3 of my friends orders. They were friendly and got the orders out quick, but thats not really what we cared about.

Shonna Shea I was visiting the area for work and just wanted to order takeout. The server who waited on me was super friendly and fast on her service. Once I got back to my hotel about 15 minutes away, my order was fresh, still warm, and delicious. I ordered the chicken fajitas. They also added a bag of chips and salsa to my order (without charging extra like some places do) and even remembered me requesting extra limes. Super impressed with this little Google find! Hope this place is there for a long time!

Jason Echols Fantastic Italian surprise in small-town Texas. The food here is way better than you would ever expect from a little family spot right off the highway in Hamilton. The Alfredo sauce is rich, flavorful, and easily rivals big-city Italian restaurants, and the meatballs were tender, well-seasoned, and absolutely exceeded expectations. Portion sizes were generous, and everything came out hot and fresh. The decor is pretty basic and nothing fancy, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. It feels like the kind of place you go for a great meal, not for Instagram photos. What really stands out is that it’s clearly family-run, and everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. Service was attentive without being pushy, and it made for a perfect stop while charging at the nearby Tesla supercharger. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re passing through Hamilton and want a surprisingly great Italian meal.

Ashley Vu Made a quick pit stop in Hamilton and stumbled on Woody’s Burger, one of the few spots open by the courthouse on a Saturday. The burger patties were on the thinner side, but the flavor and that Woody’s sauce? Chef’s kiss! The inside had a cool retro vibe with throwback photos all over the walls, plus a mix of comfy chairs and bench seating. The restrooms looked newly redone and were super clean which is a big bonus in my book. Service was fast and genuinely friendly, which tied the whole experience together. Definitely glad I stopped in!

Brian Small What a gem! Usually stop in Hico when driving from Dallas to San Antonio but decided to explore Hamilton instead. This place is fantastic. Perhaps the best club sandwich I have ever had. Recommend the potato salad over the deviled eggs. My son had the pork butt sandwich special and was equally impressed. Super nice and welcoming folks here. Definitely make it a stop or a destination!

12.Crossfire Steakhouse & Cantina

Address: 4007 TX-36, Hamilton, TX 76531

Courtney Barber Crossfire Grill is hands down one of the best hidden gems I’ve come across. At first, we weren’t even sure we were in the right spot since it’s tucked inside a resort and rodeo arena, but I’m so glad we went in. The food was phenomenal—like Texas beef meets a California wedge salad with just the right touch of Cajun flair. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. On top of that, the prices were surprisingly affordable for the quality and portions. I honestly can’t say enough about how much I loved this place—it was such a great experience from start to finish. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and eat here. You won’t regret it! Oh and Wednesdays are 1/2 price appetizers!! Try the onion rings, spinach artichoke dip, oooh and the wedge Caesar salad was phenomenal with a little kick that I’m craving ever since…
